Purpose Statement

My purpose is to create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to experience the transformative practice of Reiki. I offer my support to individuals as they let go of energy they no longer need and embrace positive energy to help them heal their mind, body, and spirit. I aspire to empower individuals to prioritize their well-being and self-care practices because I believe people who feel better live a happier and healthier life.

I enjoy helping people make the time and space to take a break from life and take care of themselves. In this busy world, we spend so much time rushing around and doing things. With a seemingly never ending “to do” list, we have to consciously make time to rest and recharge.

Reiki has helped me remember I cannot just constantly be on the go without prioritizing and taking time to care for myself. By offering Reiki sessions, I hope to enable others to rest and recharge so they can live their highest and best life.

What is the significance of the black iris?

The black iris holds significance to me for many reasons that cross multiple concepts and cultures:
• Black irises are the rarest color of irises, which makes them unique.
• The dark color of the black iris symbolizes power, mystery and the unknown, but it also feels elegant and sophisticated.
• The black iris stands out from the crowd and symbolizes self-confidence.
• Irises are known for growing in harsh conditions, making them a symbol of strength, resilience and thriving in adversity.
• Irises are associated with transformation, with their blooms often symbolizing new beginnings.
• In Native American culture, the iris is considered a symbol of courage, strength and wisdom. Irises are also believed to have healing properties.
• The Fleur-de-lis features an iris and is used as a symbol of prestige, royalty, authority, respect, and honor.
• In China, irises are associated with good luck and are often given as a new year gift. The black iris is believed to bring honor and prestige.
• In Buddhism, the iris is associated with the third eye, which represents spiritual awakening and insight.

Most importantly, I appreciate how the black iris is a contradiction. It has strong a stem and leaves but has a soft, delicate flower. The black iris is a dark flower that can have a light center. The black iris thrives in harsh conditions that would kill other flowers. These factors prove that two seemingly opposite things can be true at the same time.

The black iris symbolism reminds me of my life journey and I am very proud to use it in my company name.
